Create High Quality Local Jobs

  • Attract quality employers that create local jobs, reduce commuter traffic, and strengthen BWG’s tax base.
  • Support balanced growth that protects our small-town character while creating opportunities for local businesses to thrive.

Strengthen Community & Traffic Safety

  • Reduce congestion and improve road safety with smart planning and targeted traffic solutions.
  • Expand enforcement and education & awareness programs for public safety.

Ensure Transparency & Responsible Spending

  • Deliver accountable leadership, challenge budgets and ensure every tax dollar is spent wisely.
  • Keep residents informed through open communication and transparent decisionmaking.

Affordable Housing in BWG

  • Work to increase housing options that are attainable, sustainable, and right for our community.
  • Prioritize complete neighbourhoods with schools, parks, transit, and everyday amenities close to home.

Promote Healthier Lifestyles/Leisure Growth

  • Represent and advance the interests of residents  through increased facilities and programming for leisure services.
  • Ex. growth of parks, green spaces, increased walking trails and cycling paths.

Expand Access to Healthcare Services

  • Advocate for more primary care services in BWG to meet our growing community’s needs.
  • Improve access to seniors’ care, mental health services, and community health programs.
     
     

Responsible Strategic Growth

  • Ensure growth keeps pace with infrastructure, schools, parks, and community services.
  • Protect BWG’s small-town character by supporting thoughtful, well-planned growth.

Growing Emergency Services

  • Ensure police, fire, and paramedic services grow alongside our community, protecting response times as BWG expands.
  • Advocate for  resources needed to support first responders  and keep our town  safe.

Road Reconstruction & Maintenance

  • Reconstruction and rehabilitation of roadways, curbs, parking lots, and sidewalks with minimum disruptions. 

Protect Our Environment & Waterways

  • Protect Lake Simcoe, the Holland River and Holland Marsh.
  • Upgrade stormwater infrastructure as the community grows.
  • Plant more trees and protect our green spaces.

Review and Enhance Town Transit Needs

  • Review current transit routes and schedules to better meet residents’ needs.
  • Improve connections between neighbourhoods, employment areas and key community services.
  • Ensure transit keeps pace with BWG’s growth.

Build Schools for Our Growing Community

  • Continue working with school boards and the Province to deliver a new secondary school and additional elementary schools to meet the needs of our growing community.
